Beyond Academics

At CFS children are provided a comfortable ambience where they can “learn to move” (physical competency) and “move to learn” (learn through movement a variety of skills beyond simple physical activity, such as collaborating with others, teamwork and leadership).

Physical education, art and craft, dance and music lessons are age appropriate to help the students acquire the cognitive strength, psychomotor skills, and social and emotional perspectives required to lead a physically active life.

The school offers four houses – Akash (Blue), Prithvi (Green), Agni (Red), and Vayu (Yellow) to promote a healthy sense of competition.

Students are regularly encouraged to participate in inter and intra school competitions as well as the ones hosted by CISCE.

The annual investiture ceremony instils leadership quality and gives the students a sense of belonging.

Exhibitions and festivals

The outstanding displays at the CFS Art and Craft and Science festivals along with their confident presentations have been appreciated by one and all.

Asian Youth Festival

The Asian Youth Festival was organised in 2010, 2012 and 2017 where CFS played host to hundreds of young people drawn from 17 states in India and 4 Asian countries. The delegates were invited to Kolkata to showcase the power of youth and re-affirm their faith in human good.

The Asian Youth Festivals provided an arena for the young minds to wander, question and share. Over the seven days we witnessed happiness and fulfillment on every face. The programme included evenings of cultural extravaganzas showcasing our rich heritage.
